Key takeaways
Melius is the best overall pick for e-commerce teams. Its agent, Mel, plans the shots, picks from more than 100 models and writes the prompts, and the node-based canvas lets you rerun the same video workflow for every product by swapping one photo.
Creatify is the quickest way from a product URL to a finished UGC-style video ad, with ad launching to Meta, TikTok and other platforms.
Kling and Google's Veo 3.1 and Gemini Omni give the best raw clip quality, but they're raw generators with no e-commerce features, so you build the workflow yourself.
Pippit suits Shopify and TikTok Shop sellers on a budget, though its support reviews are poor.
Every tool here can change a label, logo or shape in motion. Start from a clean product photo, tell the model what must stay still and check every frame before a video goes live.
How we ranked
Image-to-video means giving an AI model a still image, usually a product photo, as the first frame or as a reference, and getting a short clip back. For an e-commerce team, the questions are whether the product still looks like the product once it moves, whether the tool can turn out videos for dozens or hundreds of SKUs without starting over each time, which channels it fits (product pages, marketplaces, Reels and TikTok) and how much control you keep over each shot. Prices come from each vendor's pricing page as of October 9, 2026.

1. Melius - Best overall for product video at catalog scale
Melius is an agentic image and video generation tool for e-commerce teams. Describe the job to Mel, its agent, and it lays the work out as connected nodes on a canvas, choosing the models, writing the prompts and running the generations. Every node stays editable, so you can change any shot by hand.
What works: The canvas has more than 100 models, including the video models Veo 3.1, Kling 3.0 Omni, Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0 and MiniMax H3, so each shot can go to the model that suits it. A video node takes your product photo as a starting frame, with an optional last frame, or as a reference image that keeps the product consistent across the clip, and some models, such as Kling 3.0 Omni, accept both. For a longer ad, one shot's last frame feeds the next shot's first, and a stitch node joins the clips at no extra cost. Mel can build a full set from a brief such as "five UGC video ads for this product." Scale comes from the canvas: a node can generate up to 10 variations at once, and replacing the photo in an upload node reruns every downstream step, so one workflow serves every SKU. The API runs up to 500 nodes in a single bulk call. An Image to Boomerang template turns a still into a looping clip for Reels and Stories.
What doesn't: Melius doesn't publish to Shopify, Amazon or Meta, so you download the videos and upload them yourself. Most of its video models cap a clip at about nine to 12 seconds, so longer ads are stitched from several shots.
Best for: E-commerce and brand teams that need many on-brand product videos across a catalog and want to control each shot.
2. Creatify - Best for video ads from a product URL
Creatify is an AI video ad platform that turns a product page or product image into UGC-style ads.
What works: Paste a product URL and it writes a script and builds ads with AI actors, 300 of them on Starter. Ad Clone remakes an existing ad around your product, and Product Video turns a product image into studio-style shots. Its AdFlow templates and a model playground cover other formats, and the Ad Launcher sends ads to Meta, TikTok and other ad platforms. Starter costs $39 a month for 100 credits, and a 30-second ad uses 10 of them.
What doesn't: The format leans on avatars and templates, with less control over a cinematic product shot than a raw video model. Credits add up at volume. Creatify scores 3.8 out of 5 on Trustpilot, and recent reviews complain about refunds, annual charges and credits spent on failed generations.
Best for: Performance marketers who want ready-to-run video ads without shooting or editing.
3. Kling - Best for clip quality for the price
Kling is the AI video generator from Kuaishou, now at kling.ai.
What works: Image-to-video accepts start and end frames or reference images, and Kling 3.0 Omni can mix several elements with reference images. Paid plans generate in 1080p and 4K, extend videos and make up to four videos per generation. An e-commerce fashion showcase makes on-model and product videos from product, model or brand images, and the API has e-commerce endpoints. Standard lists at $10 a month for 660 credits, with the first month discounted.
What doesn't: Kling is a generator, not an ad tool, so there are no ad templates and no store publishing. Third-party reviews report failed generations and long waits at peak times.
Best for: Teams that want strong product motion for little money and will assemble the ads themselves.
4. Google Veo 3.1 and Gemini Omni - Best for cinematic hero shots with sound
Google's video models are available in its Flow app, the Gemini app and the Gemini API. Veo 3.1 was joined in May 2026 by Gemini Omni Flash, which Google now recommends for most video work.
What works: Veo 3.1 takes start and end frames and up to three reference images, and generates audio with every clip. Clips run four, six or eight seconds in 16:9 or 9:16, with 1080p and 4K options. For developers, the Gemini API charges per second of video, from $0.05 on Veo 3.1 Lite to $0.40 on Veo 3.1 at 1080p, with no charge for failed generations. Google AI Plus costs $4.99 a month and includes 200 Flow credits.
What doesn't: A single generation stops at eight seconds, and extending a clip only works at 720p. Flow's Quality mode uses 100 credits a clip, so the cheaper plans cover few finished shots. There are no ad templates, avatars or commerce integrations, and every clip carries Google's SynthID watermark.
Best for: Brands that want polished product reveal and hero shots, and developers building their own pipeline.
5. Topview - Best for product-avatar ads in batches
Topview is a Singapore-based AI video ad platform built around avatars that hold and use your product.
What works: Paste a product URL or a brief and it generates a product ad, and Product Avatar puts your product in an AI presenter's hands. It has several video models, including Seedance 2.5, Kling 2.6, MiniMax H3 and Veo 3.1 Fast, with 4K on Veo. API and MCP server (Model Context Protocol, for connecting AI assistants) access comes with every paid plan. Plus costs $36 a month billed yearly.
What doesn't: There's no Shopify, Amazon or TikTok Shop integration and no ad publishing. Its Trustpilot rating is 3.8 out of 5, with complaints about long queues and credits that run out quickly, and the pricing page mixes units in a way that makes costs hard to compare.
Best for: DTC brands that want presenter-style product ads at volume.
6. Pippit - Best for Shopify and TikTok Shop sellers
Pippit is ByteDance's marketing video app, powered by CapCut and formerly called CapCut Commerce Pro.
What works: Its video agent turns a product link or photo into a marketing video with your choice of length, aspect ratio and language. It imports products from a connected Shopify store and makes 9:16 product videos, offers avatars that hold your product or wear your outfit and has TikTok Shop affiliate templates. A built-in publisher schedules posts and tracks results. Starter is $9 a month on a promotional price, or $8.42 a month billed yearly.
What doesn't: Pippit has a 1.7 out of 5 rating on Trustpilot, with complaints about credits lost on failed generations, free credits cut without notice and refused refunds. It still advertises Sora 2, which OpenAI pulled from its app in April and shut off to developers in September. There's no public API, and current prices are promotional.
Best for: Small Shopify and TikTok Shop sellers who want cheap vertical videos and scheduled posting in one app.
7. Runway - Best for fine shot control and an API
Runway is an AI video company, now at runway.com, whose Gen-4.5 model topped the Artificial Analysis text-to-video leaderboard at its launch in December 2025.
What works: Gen-4.5 image-to-video makes clips of two to 10 seconds in six aspect ratios, from 21:9 to 9:16, and Runway also sells Seedance 2.0 and Kling 3.0 inside its app. Paid plans add 4K upscaling, and Max adds ProRes and HDR export. The developer API charges by the credit, at about $0.60 for a five-second Gen-4.5 clip. Standard costs $15 a month, or $12 billed yearly.
What doesn't: Standard's 625 credits buy only about 52 seconds of Gen-4.5 video a month, and those credits do not roll over. Clips stop at 10 seconds, Runway's own notes on Gen-4.5 admit weaknesses with cause and effect and object permanence, and there are no product-ad templates or store integrations.
Best for: Creative teams and developers who want precise control over each shot.
How to turn product photos into video with AI
Start from a clean pack shot on a plain background rather than a lifestyle photo, and add the logo as its own reference image.
Tell the model what must stay still, such as the label, logo and shape, and ask for one small motion, like a slow push-in, a glint or fabric moving.
Keep each clip short. About six seconds works well for a looping ad, and longer ads are easier to build from several short shots.
Draft at 720p, generate two or three takes of each shot and render only the winner at 1080p or higher.
Export for where the video will live: 9:16 for TikTok, Reels and Shorts, and 16:9 or 1:1 for product pages. Shopify accepts MP4, MOV and WEBM files up to 1GB and 10 minutes long.
Frequently asked questions
What is the best image-to-video AI generator for e-commerce?
Melius is the best overall pick for e-commerce teams, because its agent builds the video workflow and the canvas reruns it for every product. Creatify is the fastest route to finished video ads, and Kling and Google's Veo 3.1 give the best raw clips.
Can AI make a product video from one photo?
Yes. Image-to-video tools use a single product photo as the first frame or as a reference and animate it into a short clip. A clean photo on a plain background gives the best results.
How long can an AI product video be?
Most models make clips of about five to 12 seconds per generation, and Veo 3.1 stops at eight. Longer videos are built by stitching several clips together or by extending a clip, which some models support.
Will the product look accurate in an AI video?
Not always. Models can redraw labels, logos and proportions as the product moves, so supply a clean reference photo, tell the model what must not change and check every frame against the real product before you publish.
Who owns AI product videos?
It depends on the tool and plan. Melius's terms say: "You own the content you create on Melius and can use, publish, and distribute it commercially, subject to the underlying model providers' terms. Melius doesn't claim ownership of your work and doesn't use it to train AI models." Kling allows commercial use on paid plans, and other tools set their own terms.
